It tells you a little about life on Kassyyyk without forcing you to suffer through the Star Wars Christmas Special. The illustrations are very colorful and fun to look at.

It's hard to find a good book that would cause excitement for a young pup but,Chewbacca the Wookiee, by Art Ruiz delivers.
I love to see the anxiety build up in Frisky as I flip through the pages, move the book around and read to him as if the book were alive.
The dog can easily relate to the wookies described in the book due to their complete body fur and same language.
There is a moment of climax in the book that sends my dog straight out the door and to bed for the night. I don't want to give that scene away but if getting chased by a screaming hair covered Wookiee that almost magically appears from inside the book sounds thrilling, then this is the book for you.
